Welcome to "The Mavic Brothers" website, owned and operated by "The Mavic Brothers" Ltd. ("Company", "We" or "Us"). This page explains the terms by which you may use our website, including the purchase of company products and our online and/or mobile services.
Use of our website
This is a contract between you and the company. You must read and agree these terms before using the company services. All users of this site agree that access to and use of this terms and conditions, please do not use this website. You may purchase the products only if you can form a binding contract with company, and only in compliance with these terms and all applicable local, state, national and international law, rules and regulations.
Except for your user content, the products, the service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics. Illustrations. Logo, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and user content belonging to other users (the "Company" content), and all intellectual property rights related thereto, and the exclusive property of company and its licensors. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such intellectual property rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works from any company content. Use of company content for any purchase not expressly permitted by these terms is strictly prohibited.
Order payment and Shipping terms
We do not sell to minors (under 18 years of age). "The Mavic Brothers" only sells to adults, who can purchase with a credit card or other permitted payment methods. If you are under 18, you should get a consent of a parent or legal guardian. You, or your parent/legal guardian (if you are a minor), must read this agreement prior to placing an order with "The Mavic Brothers".
Placing an order - After placing an order, we will review the information you provided for validity by verifying your method of payment, billing, and/or shipping address. Orders may not be accepted for delivery to certain addresses and territories based upon your location. We may contact you if additional information is required to accept and process your order. Invalid order information may result in delay processing your order. For product purchases, your receipt of an order confirmation does not constitute company's acceptance of your order. Without prior notification, company maintains the right to limit the product order quantity and the right to refuse to sell products to any customer for any reason or no reason at all. The company may, but is not obligated to, investigate your order for violation of these terms, including without limitation to verify your credit card information. The company may cancel you order in its sole discretion if company believes that you have violated the terms of this agreement . Company reserves the right mot to sell to re-seller, dealers or distributors. If your order is cancelled or refused, we will attempt to notify you using the email address or phone number you have given us with the order.
Payments - Payment for products purchased online is conducted through Wix or another third party payment processor. Payment may be subject to such payment processor. Payment may be subject to such payment processor's terms and conditions (Wix's terms and conditions can be found at https://www.Wix.Com/about/terms-of-use). . We will not complete the order until we get a proper authorization of your purchase. You represent and warrant that the payment and shipping information that your provide is accurate and that you have the right to purchase products using such payment using such payment information. We may offer you the ability to finance your purchase of products visa a third party provider. The company will use reasonable efforts to let you know what taxes and charges apply to your purchase of products . However, we are not responsible if additional taxes or fees are assessed by your local government
Shipping - once payment is received, we will ship you the products accordingly. We will ship the products you purchase via the shipping method of our choice, on such other terms and conditions (such as applicable shipping and handling fees) that we may disclose to you at the time of your purchase. Please not that you may be required to sign for delivery of products. We do not guarantee the services of any shipping services, and delivery dates and time estimates and are not guaranteed. We will, however, use commercially reasonable efforts to dispatch the product to you as soon as reasonably possible after your order has been placed. During busy times, such as holiday periods, periods of inclement weather, there may be additional shipping and processing delays. You agree to not hold the company liable got any shipping issues. Most package carriers have a short time frame in which to initiate claims. We recommend that you inspect your package for damage immediately upon arrival. If there is a problem, contact the delivery service immediately to resolve any problem.
Warranty - our Alpha Board is covered by a 12-month manufacturer's warranty that covers defect in workmanship and material, this warranty does not apply to any electric skateboard that has been subject to abuse, misuse, negligence or accident (e.g. Riding in wet conditions, dropping the board etc). Defects cause by tampering or unauthorized alternations or repair are not covered by the warranty. Perishable items are not subject to warranty due to their deterioration through standard use, example: bearings, tubes, bushings, grip tape and pu wheels. In the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect within 6 months of date of purchase, you must contact us and give the full description of the problem. You will be responsible for shipping and receiving costs for any service or warranty repair. The warranty does not include damage from shipping in insufficient packaging. For any warranty issue, the entire board will need to be inspected by our service team to confirm if the defect will be covered or will to be covered by the warranty.
Returns and Refund Policy
This returns and refund policy is applicable to all purchases made online through our website www.mavicbrothers.co.nz
14-day Return Policy (New Zealand ONLY)
We KNOW you will be happy with your new Alpha Electric Skateboard. However, for your peace of mind, we offer a 14-day return policy. To be eligible for a return, you MUST have bought the Alpha board through our website and the board should be in as-new conditions, including the original packaging. You may use the board indoors in a clean, smooth surface, but we will not accept returns of boards in other conditions that are not as-new. The Alpha Board must not be abused or damaged as determined in our sole discretion.
Steps and conditions to return the Alpha Board,
Contact our Support team (firstname.lastname@example.org) within 14 days of delivery date to initiate the return process and obtain authorization to submit the Products for return.
Our Support team will provide you the address details for you to return the product. Mavic Brothers is NOT responsible for the shipping costs. Shipping cost will be paid by the buyer.
Pack the Alpha Board in the original packaging and mail it in a sturdy box to ensure the Alpha Board will be returned without damage.
Once the Alpha Board is received and assessed by our support team, a refund will be issued within 5 business days if all conditions are met. If the assessment approves a refund, 100% of the purchase price will be refunded less shipping cost and handling fees. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction. Please note that any sign of use could void the return policy in which case the board will be returned at buyers cost or a partial refund will be issued.
The Alpha Board must be received by Mavic Brothers within 21 days of the date of delivery. Mavic Brothers is not responsible for recovering the Alpha Board from you or any third-parties, including shippers, or any delays caused by you or any third-parties, including shippers, and you acknowledge and agree that if Mavic Brothers does not receive the returned Alpha Board within 14 days of the date that we delivered the Alpha Board, you will not be entitled to a refund.
If 14 days have gone by since delivery date without us being notified of a refund intention, unfortunately we won’t consider offering you a refund. If we don’t receive the board within 21 days of delivery date, we won’t consider offering a refund.
Coupon "Enjoysummer" (30% off) is only valid for US residents. Shipping address must be in the US or a US territory. Eligibility: US residents, 18 and over.
Danger - every time you ride the Alpha Board you risk serious injury or even death from loss of control, collisions or even fall. You must read and understand all the instructions in the user manual before riding the board. Your board can lose brakes and power during your ride at any time due to low battery on the skateboard or remote. If this happens, it is best to ride your board at a speed you are comfortable without power or brakes.
Age - the board is not suitable for children under the age of 15. Riders between 15-18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. "The Mavic Brothers" will not be responsible for any falls, injuries or accidents the rider might have while riding the board.
Weight - rider weight limit is 100kg. Although the board support up to 120 kg, for best performance we recommend 100kg.
Protection - always wear a helmet when riding the alpha board. Additional protective equipment, such as elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards are highly recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles) and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels and motor. Never ride barefoot or in sandals.
Misuse/abuse - do not drop or jump on the board. Do not ride on rough surfaces. Do no smash the board into hard objects. Although the product has been made to handle rigorous riding, it is still an electrical product and needs to be handled with care and respect. Our warranty does not cover any of the above. Do not ride the board if you are under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Avoid riding on water - the board is water resistant but not waterproof. The electronics, bearings and other components may be damaged due to water and water damage is NOT covered by warranty. Riding in wet conditions is also very dangerous and may cause injury.
High speed - riding at a high speed or down hills is very dangerous. Only ride at a speed that will allow you to foot brake in case of an emergency or malfunction.
Charging the battery – check the charger regularly, looking for any damage to the cord, plug enclosure ad other parts. In the event of such damage, the product must not be charged until the charger has been repaired or replaced. Use only with the recommended charger. Use caution when charging. Charger should be operated by an adult. Do not operate charger near flammable materials. Unplug charger and disconnect from product when not in use. Always disconnect from the charger prior to wiping down and cleaning your product with damp cloth.
Road rules – only ride in designated areas. Respect pedestrians. Always obey and check the local road rules in your area.
